Discovering of our soil pits

Dear clients, partners and friends,

This is an unusual information.. For those who follow us on social media, you have seen our original plan last week, we dug two soil pits in two different plots in order to understand the soil life and improve more our champagnes.

We dug at two meters deep and discovered 4 different geological layers.

All of these layers have an impact on our wines of Champagne through the root system of the vine.

We had the opportunity to analyse our soils thanks to a sensory analysis (color, smelling) and discover the benefits of the work without chemical products using.

These two soil pits were dug in two different main plots:

The plots called "Paradis Sud" with chardonnay and "les Raies tortues" with Meunier.

From these plots, we created few years ago and in limited quantities two differents cuvees.

It will be soon available for sell and will represent the new jewels of our house: rare and atypical wines of Champagne bottling at only 640 bottles per cuvee.

We suggest you to discover the reports from the radio "France Bleu Champagne" (in French only)  in 3 parts (26th, 27th, 28th April) at these links:
